Hello, Yancey here. I'm sure you've seen me around somewhere on the site, after all, how else could you have gotten to my page? *laughs* What am I? A college student at the University of Montana, a member and missionary for the Mormon church, and and overall well-rounded individual. I'd prefer not to delve into my own personal life if possible during this introduction, so I will refrain from doing so as it is not terribly salient to the "big picture", as some would call it.
I began my internet escapades in early 2007. Not that I hadn't surfed the web before that, its just that I hadn't exactly devoted myself to any one website until that time. YouTube (regrettably) was my first choice as far as websites went. I was completely unaware to the abundance of imbiciles that lay in my wake until I submitted my first video. It was a harmless thing, something I had brewed up with my web cam in a short amount of time. To my surprise, it gained an astonishing amount of views (something approximately over fifty) - and without a single comment. That was when I had my first doubts. I soon submitted my second video, which was a video blog in which I spoke about some of my missionary work. The first few comments I received were scoffing remarks which I immediately proceeded to delete. I continued submitting web cam blogs about my missionary work, until I could take it no more. The comments were blisteringly agonizing. I had my account my removed and all my videos deleted along with it.
More recently, my fiancé introduced me to NewGrounds. A site much more versatile than YouTube, it offers users not only a portal for movies but for audio as well. Not only that, but it has a forum system in which I have found much joy in reading the politics forum. Of course, I don't agree with some of the views I have found expressed on the forums, but I can't expect everyone to agree with me. I am in the process of learning Adobe Flash (formerly Macromedia Flash) and I hope to submit my first flash videos to the portal soon. All in all, my time on NewGrounds has thus far been enjoyable, although most of it has been spent "lurking". I look forward to becoming an active member of this community
